Profitool is a hybrid construction management solution that provides businesses across various industry verticals functionalities with real-time information via integrated project control and construction job accounting system. The solution can either be deployed on-premise or hosted in the cloud.

Profitool can be tailored to suit businesses in industries such as concrete, mechanical and HVAC, plumbing, roofing & siding, landscaping and utility contracting. The solution's business intelligence suite helps users to manage their various business operations that include financial accounting, job cost, project management, equipment management, document control and more. It also features distributed data exchange (DDE) that allows users to link multiple servers at different locations.

Profitool's accounting application provides users modules for job costing, AIA billing, document management and insurance certificates. The solution offers services for a one-time fee that includes support via phone and email.

It acts as our primary accounting and cost monitoring software in which reports and monitors our job costs for management as well as project levels.

Pros

It works for intermediate sized corporations with multiple companies within that corp. It works well with construction companies working in multiple states and multiple unions.

Cons

The software's Job coding ability is limited. The biggest Con is their lack of support for their product.
